LUCHI
(FLOUR PURIS)
A
recipe for delicious bread, that can be eaten with
any type of curry. In the eastern part of India, these
are made of white flour, while in the north, and the
other parts of India they are made of whole wheat
flour.
INGREDIENT
:
Wheat
flour
- 250 gm.
Ghee or oil -
7.5 gm.
Water to knead
Oil for deep frying
Salt
to taste |
METHOD
:
Make
a soft dough with the white flour (or whole wheat
flour) ghee and water, and salt to taste. Roll
out into neat uniform rounds. Deep fry each separately.
Turn over once and fry till each of the puris
is golden brown. Do not over fry. Serve hot, with
vegetables or curries.
Time
taken -- 10 mins.
