Chhat Puja (21st November)

Chhat puja or the Hindu Sun festival which follows two days later is the most colorful Bihari festival in celebration of the Sun. Untouchables, transvestites dance and come to the ghats to make offerings of fruit and vegetables by dipping them into the Ganga at sunset.
